Last week, we had the pleasure of exhibiting at InCabin USA in Detroit, one of the key meetups in the automotive calendar. The event proved to be a great opportunity to showcase our latest advancements, engage with long-standing partners and customers across the USA, and connect with new stakeholders shaping the future of in-cabin technology.

Showcasing Our Latest DOMS Capabilities

At our booth, we featured a live demo of our 1mp HFOV driver and occupant monitoring system, now enhanced with seatbelt detection and hands-on-wheel functionality. The system’s robust performance and smooth 3D skeleton tracking were of strong interest and received positive feedback from our visitors. These features are critical for ensuring accurate passive safety and situational awareness— particularly as vehicles move toward higher levels of automation.

Highlighting Interior Monitoring for Autonomous Vehicles

During the event our Head of Business Development, Benedikt Spannocchi, delivered a compelling presentation on “The neglected key technology of autonomous vehicles: Interior Monitoring”. His talk addressed the growing importance of understanding in-cabin conditions as vehicles evolve beyond Level 2 autonomy. Using our collaboration with MOIA and the VW ID.Buzz AD as a real-world example, Benedikt illustrated how interior monitoring systems are central to ensuring safety, comfort, and trust in autonomous mobility services.

We’re excited to continue this conversation at InCabin Barcelona in October, where we will give a detailed joint presentation together with MOIA. This session will dive deeper into the specific challenges and solutions involved in deploying interior monitoring in real-world autonomous vehicle services.

Outlook and Conclusion

InCabin USA once again delivered a diverse range of innovative hardware and software showcases, as well as thought-provoking presentations and roundtables. The event highlighted how rapidly the in-cabin ecosystem is maturing and reinforced the need for continued collaboration between technology providers, OEMs, and regulators.

We return from Detroit grateful by the conversations we had, the feedback we received, and the potential opportunities on the horizon. A big thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth, we are looking forward to working together with you to elevate the standards of the incabin environment.
